This is about simple food, put together with love using the best locally sourced ingredients and no unnecessary rubbish. It doesn’t need to be complicated.

Our pizzas have been created by an Italian who has spent 20 years practicing and winning many awards along the way. Someone who has made it his life’s dream to make the perfect pizza using traditions from his heritage and the best ingredients available to him. Malcom Gladwell once said it took 10000 hours of practice to achieve mastery, Marco is way ahead of those 10000 hours and in our opinion has achieved perfection.

Initially our plan was to serve Rotisserie Chicken, we bought the equipment and we made our plans After many meetings, discussions and the odd fruitful word we were told that connecting the right electricity wasn’t a simply job and we would need to sell our soul in order for it to happen. Having already sold our souls many times over in the past we had a major problem. That night we sat in an unfinished shop with a bottle of wine from the nice chaps next door looking at the freshly painted oven and the unpacked rotisserie when it struck us, let’s try the chicken in the wood fired oven. Marco was nowhere to be seen and we didn’t dare ask him so we fired her up and gave it a go. We sat there on tenterhooks occasionally peeking into the oven and at the same time hoping Marco didn’t turn up unannounced, finally it felt like it was time. We pulled the chicken out and immediately we knew we had turned a corner, it looked and smelt delicious, the rest as they, with your help, is history.

Finally, we would like to say how proud we are to be part of the Oxshott Village community. We would like to thank our new friends at Surrey Hills Butcher & Deli, the lovely chaps at the post office and the unofficial Mayor of Oxshott (you know who you are) who have helped us finally open.
